Recitals & performances

Performance is built into how we teach.

Students get a performance opportunity every 6 months, plus seasonal recitals at venues like the Steinway Gallery, the Orinda Theater, NVM San Francisco, and our own campuses. Recitals are encouraged for all enrolled students, and never required.

How performances work

Stages, studio classes, and outreach.

Every 6 months. Students get a performance opportunity every 6 months, with a mix of formal recitals and beginner-friendly studio classes.

Spring and Winter formal recitals. We host larger recitals each year at concert venues across the Bay Area. Past venues include the Steinway Gallery, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Orinda Theater, the Atrium Theater, NVM San Francisco, LCC Lafayette, and the War Memorial Veterans Building.

Local outreach program. We have a seasonal program where students perform for patients and residents at local hospitals and senior centers — a meaningful way to share music with the community.

Studio classes. Teachers also hold smaller studio classes onsite — lower-pressure than a recital, great for beginners getting their first stage time.

A trial lesson is the easiest way to meet a teacher and see if it’s a fit. Book directly or send us a few details about the student and we will follow up.
